Renowned makeup artist Pat McGrath launched her first beauty product two months ago and the hyped limited-edition gold pigment sold out almost instantly. Now McGrath is getting ready for another launch, and after a cryptic Instagram video, there are finally details about what Phantom 002 is all about.
It's a $240 kit with two brushes, one gel liner, and then gold, blue, and copper eye pigments, a fuchsia eye blush, and black eye gloss. It all comes in a holographic pouch, and that should be everything you need to copy a Pat McGrath look. It's out December 15th at 12pm EST, but WWD reports there will only be 1,200 of the Phantom 002 kits for sale, so expect it to sell out quickly. Note that gold pigment is a different shade than the Gold 001.
McGrath is calling the look "hardcore glamour — a punk femme fatale," and to celebrate the launch, she took over a Brooklyn diner yesterday, dubbed it #PatsDiner, and her team painted partygoers' faces using the Phantom 002 colors. "These pigments don’t bleed, they give you lots of playtime and they hold completely," she told WWD, noting that the colors can be used on lids, cheeks, and lips.
