Former Lucky EIC Eva Chen just filled in the world (via Instagram) that she will soon start working at Instagram as the head of fashion partnerships. Chen announced her departure from Lucky in April, while the publication's downward spiral continued and the print magazine shuttered last month.

When Chen left, she said she wanted to spend more time with her family. She's known for her social media presence, particularly on Instagram, where she maintains a separate account with just photogenic backdrops for outfit photos. Chen's Instagram followers posted messages congratulating her on the new gig, writing things like, "Of course you work at Instagram now. They owe a lot to your amazing account... Congratulations!!"

Update: Mashable's David Yi interviewed Chen about her role at Instagram, which she describes as a new position and a natural next move. "I'll be working closely with stylists, designers, up-and-comers with fun activations and finding new ways to tell fashion stories," Chen told Mashable.
