Amazon has joined a fast-growing list of retailers publicly announcing a ban on selling Confederate flag merchandise, but not before the products briefly became some of the best-selling items on the site. Vanity Fair reports that after Walmart and Sears trumpted their own bans, sales of the Confederate battle flag shot up by 3,260% on Amazon. Hours later, the retailer announced that it would be pulling all Confederate merchandise from its site.

Esquire has a running list of all the retailers that have banned Confederate-branded products so far. As of today, eBay and Etsy have also followed Walmart and Sears's lead and openly banned the merchandise from their respective shops.
