Shoppers around the world collectively lost their minds this morning trying to get their hands on H&M's Balmain collection. It was bad enough trying to shop online, but at least you weren't in danger of being elbowed in the face.

In New York, Racked NY reports that hundreds lined up at each H&M store carrying the collab and some people even tried to scalp their bracelets to those who wanted to pay to get earlier access. Check out the photo above of a New York store just an hour and a half after the launch. Notice all the empty racks.

Racked Miami reports that scuffles broke out in line and shoppers were knocking over inventory as a strategy to get what they wanted.

In London, The Guardian reports that the police had to be called in to attempt to control the crowd as tensions rose among people who had been in line for hours. One shopper tweeted that he had been waiting since 2am and the store closed down due to the chaos before he could get in.

But the scene at the H&M in this video below is completely terrifying. It's a Parisian store, according to GQ, and it looks like people might be trampled as they push through the doors and lunge for the clothes. That and more scenes of shopping terror from around the world below.
