President Obama Confirms He’s a ‘Cool President’ to Jerry Seinfeld

President Obama may not be a typical guest of Jerry Seinfeld's web series Comedians In Cars Getting Coffee, which as its name suggests, technically only features professional comics. But failing to consider President Obama a professional comic is to ignore one very important truth: He's got jokes.

The 20-minute episode, which premiered last night, mainly features Seinfeld and Obama driving around in a 1963 Corvette — though they don't manage to get very far, and instead end up grabbing coffee back at the White House. It also includes the confirmation of a fact most Americans have known for years: Barak Obama is cool.

How cool is he? When asked about his favorite president as a child, Obama answered that it was Teddy Roosevelt, whom he described as "a cool character. He may be the guy who would be the most fun to hang out with. He just does crazy stuff." Immediately following this exchange, Obama (maybe) casually takes a sip of gin.

Later on, when asked about his style, Obama said: "I only have blue and gray suits and one black suit," to which Seinfeld replied, "Black's too rough for a president, you gotta soften it up." Obama swiftly quips: "But I'm a cool president." Watch the whole thing here.
