The Miss USA Pageant has found a new home, barely one week before the competition takes place in Baton Rouge on July 12th. According to The Hollywood Reporter, cable network Reelz has acquired the rights to air the pageant after NBC dropped the show based on its ties with Donald Trump.

"The decision on the part of Reelz to acquire the rights to the Miss USA Pageant was based on our belief that this special event, and the women who compete in it, are an integral part of American tradition," Stan E. Hubbard, CEO of Reelz, told THR. "As one of only a few independent networks, we decided to exercise our own voice and committed ourselves to bringing this pageant to American viewers everywhere." For those who don't have access to the channel, the Miss USA Pageant organization announced that it will also be live-streaming the show through its website.

With the telecast problem out of the way, the organization can now focus on replacing its two cohosts, four out of the five judges, and every one of the artists scheduled to perform, all of whom have dropped out of the show over its association with Trump.
