"Ever since I made the move from New Orleans to New York, I've preferred a more minimal look — simple cuts in muted, dark colors. Minimalism just seems more grown-up, and who doesn't want to be taken seriously in such a big city? But recently, I've realized you can still embrace minimalism without saying goodbye to color.

I fell in love with this poppy red cashmere turtleneck from the recent collaboration between Uniqlo and Lemaire the second I saw it in the store. It'll add a bit of color to my fall wardrobe of blacks and creams, and help me break out of my monochromatic shell. Staying true to my minimalist style, I paired it with wool trousers from the same collection."
