NBC has a television show in the works based on Cosmopolitan, according to a Variety report. Cosmo EIC Joanna Coles is executive producing the drama series, which follows a number of characters and their lives spent balancing careers and family, finding their identity, and "having the most mind-blowing orgasms," according to the report.

Apparently, this isn't the first time Cosmo has inspired a TV show. Last year, Coles did some press around a comedy script that she was also co-producing (she told The Cut that she's been approached about a TV idea involving Cosmo at least once every three weeks), but the latest show idea will reportedly be more directly based on the magazine rather than inspired by it.

If all goes well, this won't be the only fashion-focused scripted series that NBC has on its plate in the coming seasons — the network also signed on Cindy Crawford earlier this summer to executive produce Icon, a show about the modeling wars of the '80s.
