9 Incredible Jewelry Designers For Unique Engagement Rings

With that in mind, we set out to find jewelry designers making pieces as unique and personal as your relationship. We skipped over the big chain diamond retailers in favor of vintage curators, up-and-coming designers, and lesser-known fine jewelers. From Los Angeles–based bohemian designer Liseanne Frankfurt to edgy New York brand Eva Fehren, here are nine makers of those one-of-a-kind pieces you can definitely say yes to.

Adel Chefridi

Adel Chefridi’s wedding collection is made for a color fanatic — bright pink, blue, and periwinkle sapphires grace many of his warm gold bands. Chefridi credits his childhood in Tunisia, and subsequent exposure to richly hued Roman and Byzantine jewelry, as the catalyst for his distinctive style.

Azlee

While designer Baylee Zwarts doesn't have a bridal collection, her architectural rings will appeal to any bride with a taste for the modern. (As a bonus, a portion of every sale is donated to the Marine Mammal Center. Sounds like good karma to us.)

Doyle & Doyle

Sisters Elizabeth and Irene Pamela Doyle have curated an exquisite collection of vintage and antique gems for their New York City shop (designs are also available on their constantly updated site). The duo also has a growing in-house line, full of engagement-worthy rings inspired by antique treasures.

Erie Basin

Antique jewelry aficionado Russell Whitmore both collects vintage pieces and creates an in-house line of quirky rings set with vintage stones. The rare colored diamonds in simple settings are a standout of the EB line.

Emma Franklin

A graduate of the prestigious Central Saint Martins art school, up-and-coming British jewelry designer Emma Franklin cites the Art Deco period as the main influence for her eye-catching rings, all of which are created by custom order.

Eva Fehren

From sleek and minimal to darkly dramatic, Eva Zuckerman of Eva Fehren definitely has the edgier bride-to-be covered. Her collection, which heavily features black diamonds, is inspired by the landscape of NYC, where the designer was born and raised.

LFrank Jewelry

Liseanne Frankfurt's jewelry is incredibly romantic and tactile, so it makes sense that the L.A.-based designer also creates silky, vintage-inspired lingerie. While the latter can wait until the wedding night, you need one of her glamorous, statement-making rings on your finger ASAP.

Meadowlark

The Aussie couple behind Meadowlark designs in unexpected, geometric shapes with uniquely colored — and often lower price point — stones. The resulting collection is, in their words "decadently dark," and in ours, accessible (prices start as low as $215).

Raphaele Canot

Raphaele Canot had a long career designing for Cartier and DeBeers before starting her eponymous line of petite diamonds, which she describes, rightly, as "iconic yet playful."
