Hair Tapestries Are Taking Over Festival Instagram

Now that we're all up to speed on microwaving off armpit hair, the next step to fully embracing 2015 is getting a hair tapestry. According to InStyle, hair tapestries have been around for awhile but the trend was recently revitalized at the FYF music festival this past weekend when a UK hair salon called Bleach London set up a hair tapestry station and festivalgoers flocked to it.

The #HairTapestry tag on Instagram is chock full of examples of the trend, which basically involves weaving colorful yarn into a section of hair and totally disregarding how painful that must be to pull out at the end of the day. The more intricate the design, the better, as evidenced by these brave souls who proudly sported their tapestries:
