Ellen Page and Girlfriend Wear Complementary Tuxedos for First Red Carpet Appearance

Much-applauded actress and baby face Ellen Page came out over a year ago, but she came out as a girlfriend on the Toronto International Film Festival red carpet Sunday night. The couple wore complementary tuxedo-inspired getups: Page in Saint Laurent (leather pants!) and Samantha Thomas in everything but the jacket. Ruby Rose, also in attendance, got them good on Instagram, captioning a photo with the pair, "When you're not sure if you're a YSL campaign or really stylish waiters."

Page and Thomas walked the red carpet for the premiere of Freeheld, in which Page plays domestic partner to Lieutenant Laurel Hester (Julianne Moore). When Hester is diagnosed with terminal cancer, the couple must fight the bureaucratic powers that be in order to pass down pension money. The inspiring movie's premiere is a pretty solid moment to go public with the relationship. The actress even confirmed to E! that she is, in fact, "in love." Fantastic.
