Designer Elie Tahari Sued for Sexual Harassment

Designer Elie Tahari is being sued for $6 million by an employee who claims she was fired after complaining that Tahari groped her and tried to lift her skirt up, according to Page Six. The lawsuit filed by Marcy Castelgrande alleges that the incident happened in 2011, saying that she was fired within two hours of reporting her complaint to HR.

It states: "Tahari’s recently divorced CEO, Mr. Tahari, unlawfully and inappropriately touched Ms. Castelgrande in the area of her private parts while she was modeling a skirt before a public crowd of at least ten people." Castelgrande claims that Tahari said to the group in the room, "She needs to leave. I can’t work with her. She is too sensitive. I’ve had lawsuits in the past and cannot deal with another one." The company didn't respond to Page Six about the accusations.
