As temperatures drop, the sweater becomes the piece your daily outfit orbits around. Luckily, designers are hip to the appeal of a cozy knit, so there are more styles to consider than ever before.

The fall 2015 runways offered options ranging from Moschino's playful Looney Tunes-emblazed crewnecks to Alexander Wang's punked-up take on the classic fisherman sweater. Bold color came into play, too, with tomato red at Gucci and royal purple at Balmain. Mock and turtleneck varieties are the other star trend to emerge, and look especially cute with A-line miniskirts and high-rise flares.

Show your sweater drawer some love now, and reap the warm benefits all winter long. Twenty of our favorites are in the gallery above, from an off-the-shoulder style by Saint Laurent to a pale blue, cashmere V-neck from trusty J.Crew.
