2015 is shaping up to be the year of the face mask. The options — clay, mud, charcoal, sweet avocado — are endless, as are the promises to fight blemishes and hydrate; wipe out dead skin cells and improve texture; and get rid of blackheads and tighten pores.

Below, Sephora makeup artists share their ten favorite masks from brands like Fresh, Origins, Glamglow, plus one from the store's own line that costs just six bucks.

Glamglow Thirstymud Hydrating Treatment ($69)

"Just using this hydrating mask a couple of times per week will help your makeup look better than ever. It moisturizes, restores, replenishes and calms, so skin is perfectly prepped for makeup application." — PRO Artist Amy Suchma

Fresh Black Tea Instant Perfecting Mask ($92)

"This hydrating mask delivers advanced antioxidants from black tea for softer, firmer and healthier-looking skin. It also has a velvety whipped texture that gives an immediate cooling effect to refresh the skin and senses. One of my favorite tricks with this mask, especially for those in hot climates, is to put it into the refrigerator for an hour before applying." — PRO Lead Artist Ilde Goncalves

Fresh Rose Face Mask ($62)

"Moisture is essential for healthy skin, and this hydrating and toning gel mask is a cult favorite. It's infused with real rose petals, pure rosewater, and a 'smart' algae that delivers optimum moisture. It also smells divine." — PRO Artist Maricela Aguilar

Glamglow Supermud Clearing Treatment ($69

"This formula contains Activated-X Charcoal, which magnetically draws out dirt from pores and helps combat breakouts, discoloration, black and white heads, razor bumps and in-grown hair." — PRO Artist Chris Sams

Origins Clear Improvement Active Charcoal Mask ($25)

"Charcoal is excellent for pulling environmental toxins, dirt and debris from clogged pores. This mask is great for all skin types to keep skin looking clear and acting its best."— PRO Artist Shawn Lumaban.

Fresh Black Tea Firming Overnight Mask ($92)

"This brand new mask gives skin a lifted, firmer look overnight. It works in sync with the skin's natural nighttime recovery process to intensely moisturize by the morning." — PRO Artist Karoline Karakeosian

Boscia Luminizing Black Mask ($34)

This jet-black, mineral-rich mask peels off when it dries, which instantly removes debris and dull skin for immediate and visible results." — PRO Artist Jeffrey English

Sephora Collection Green Tea Face Mask Mattifying and Anti-Blemish ($6)

"Sheet masks are the hottest trend in skincare right now because of their portability, effectiveness, and ease-of-use. This one is infused with green tea to mattify and purify skin, absorb sebum and reduce the appearance of outbreaks." — PRO Lead Artist Julie Taing

Glamglow Youthmud Tinglexfoliate Treatment ($69)

"My male and female clients love this mask because it works with the body's natural moisturizing collagen to provide gentle resurfacing exfoliation. It has a tingling sensation so you know it is working, and leaves skin noticeably radiant." — PRO Artist Eliza Davila

Ole Henriksen Blue/Black Berry Enzyme Mask ($36)

"Removing dull skin helps pores stay clear. This gel mask uses a blend of papaya enzymes and fruit extracts to gently exfoliate without drying for an instantly brighter, hydrated complexion." — PRO Artist Helen Phillips
