Vogue's October cover star is none other than the always glowing (and twirling) Lupita Nyong'o. The actress last covered Vogue in 2014, and for her second Vogue cover, writer Plum Sykes tags along with Nyong'o in Paris during the actress's very first couture week. She told the magazine, "I didn't know the power of couture until I tried on a couture dress. It made me cry."

In the accompanying photos taken by Mert and Marcus, Nyong'o models Atelier Versace, Givenchy, and more around Paris's most photogenic spots (including Elsa Schiaparelli's apartment at her couture house).

The best part of all, though, is when Lupita reveals her most relatable qualities. She has "the soul of an 80-year-old woman inside me," and her mother takes every opportunity to drop serious hints for the actress to have children. She also has a "side-hustle" braiding hair, and Vogue.com has a video of her in action. And for the New Yorkers out there, keep your eyes peeled. Lupita takes the Subway.
