Though the world braced itslef for the appearance of megastars like Uzo Aduba, Queen Latifah, Ne-Yo, Mary J. Blige, Common, David Alan Grier, and Amber Riley during tonight's broadcast of The Wiz Live, no one could have prepared for aggressively sexy dancing poppies, truly superb vogueing, and even a dab or two.

In The Wizard of Oz, poppies are nothing more than inanimate flowers that cause human beings to fall asleep in their presence. But in The Wiz, their function appears to be sufficiently seducing the Cowardly Lion into sexily roaring in their general direction. It went something like this:

And finally, as Complex notes, even Ne-Yo managed to hit the dab:

As did Queen Latifah:

And Mary J. Blige may or may not have hit the quan, according to Gabourey Sidibe:

As of press time, Dorothy has yet to make it home, but chances are she'll, at least partially, dance her way there.
