Dior's Building a Giant Lilac Dome for Paris Fashion Show

Raf Simons knows how to put on a flower show nearly as well as he knows how to put on a fashion show. Dior's creative director, well-versed in florets and blossoms, goes for peak extravagance, like while showing his first ever collection for Dior Haute Couture. Simons filled the walls of a classic Paris house with hundreds of fresh orchids and delphiniums, as documented in the 2014 film Dior and I. Now, he's topping that original set for the brand's spring 2016 show: It will be beneath a literal flower dome.

This Paris Fashion Week, Simons built a venue of his own. He is changing the Parisian landscape, embellishing a wooden structure with thousands of lavender flowers at the Cour Carre Du Louvre, which is directly outside the major tourist attraction. The highly-anticipated, highly 'grammable, and highly olfactory show isn't until tomorrow at 2:30 CEST, but preparation has been underway for days. For a Dior show, it takes a village. Do keep in mind that only the outside is pictured.
