Amazon just bought one of the largest photo studios in Europe in order to build out its definitely non-luxury fashion content. According to TechCrunch, it's a 46,000-square-foot venue based in London that houses 22 photography bays. Amazon plans on cranking out over 500,000 clothing images per year through the new studio. For comparison, the brand's Brooklyn-based photo studio is a 40,000-square-foot building that houses 28 bays. There's 19,000 images shot every single day in that location.

The company disclosed that it has sold over 30 million fashion products so far in Europe alone. "Our aim is to make Amazon the best place to buy fashion online," Sergio Bucher, VP of Amazon Fashion Europe, said in a statement. "The opening of our new fashion studio, in the heart of one of the leading fashion capitals of the world, illustrates our ambitions." The new studio will make room for 35 new full-time jobs at Amazon, plus an extra 75 jobs during the seasonal peak traffic times.
