In what sounds a lot like some weird internet friendship fanfic, Anne Hathaway revealed to Glamour UK that she attempted to gather The Ladies for book club. Her potential roster includes famous pals, Jessica Chastain and Emily Blunt, but the girls were too busy. She explains, "I'm trying right now to start a book club with Em and Jessica, because they're working on a movie together. I said, 'Let's all read this book!' But I'm not working and they are, so it's not going very well."
Some probable first picks for when this dream is fully realized include: Anne of Green Gables, Where'd You Go Bernadette?, The Lovely Bones (Em already read it, but she'd read it again), The Tiger's Wife, The Goldfinch, The Fountainhead, The Wealth of Nations, anything by Jane Austen or Shakespeare!!
Hathaway also mentioned being at peace with younger actresses getting all the good roles in Hollywood, but more importantly, which book will the club choose first??
