Prada has been easily winning the September issue race for the most appearances on the covers—five in all, according to Yahoo Style. Not only is the brand's Fall 2015 collection everywhere, but Harper's Bazaar UK and Vogue Japan both feature the same exact dress (in different colors) on their covers and W magazine was reportedly about to feature it as well until it found out that the other two covers also displayed the same dress.

According to Page Six, Prada had promised an exclusive with the dress to each magazine individually, and sources say editors are "furious" over the slip-up. Once W found out that it did not in fact have the exclusive, it scrambled to switch out its Gigi Hadid cover photo with another from the shoot. However, W's editor-in-chief Stefano Tonchi was adamant that they never switched the cover. "I always choose the cover image that I think is the strongest, and it's selected independently of what the subject is wearing," Tonchi told Page Six.

The employee at Prada responsible for sending out the dress is reportedly no longer working for the brand.
