Givenchy cast a whole classroom full of top models for its spring/summer 2016 campaign. It's 27 models in all, including superstars like Miranda Kerr, Joan Smalls, Candice Swanepoel, Natalia Vodianova, Lara Stone, and Gemma Ward, as well as models on the rise like Lexi Boling, Imaan Hammam, and Lineisy Montero.

The models got a lot of attention when they were all together on-location in lower Manhattan for the shoot, Givenchy designer Riccardo Tisci told WWD. "It was a very big production: 27 models. That’s a lot of people," he said. "But at the same time it was fun because it’s like family. Everyone was happy to be there."

Tisci noted to WWD that the multigenerational, multiracial cast continued the themes of unity and diversity of his spring 2016 collection shown in NYC on September 11th. It also goes along with all the #love and #family tagging Tisci's been using recently on his Instagram for Givenchy campaigns, like that Donatella Versace for Givenchy ad. The spring 2016 campaign spells out his spiritual bent even more with a poem written by singer Anohni that reads: "I am a child on the river, and love waits downstream: A waterfall to steal my breath, and change my mind."

"Everyone can do something very small, some gesture of love. I’m not saying this will change the world, but the world will be better. I’m a big believer in positive energy, and I’m sure this energy will spread," Tisci explained to WWD. "People have given me so much love and so much respect and this has helped me to grow."
