Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

Victoria's Secret is launching a new section in its store that will allow customers to concoct their own signature scents. The VS Fantasies Fragrance Studio encourages shoppers to mix-and-match different fragrances until they come up with a combination that will be all their own. This could be viewed as a genius way for VS to make customers buy multiple bottles of its perfume in a single visit, but at only $9 a bottle, it's still more cost-effective than buying a bottle of luxury perfume.

"The concept and tagline here is 'Mix two, make it you!' — we want her to know that there is something for everyone and you can personalize your scent not only by layering them, but by mixing up the order in how you layer them," VS's vice president of product development Mark Knitowski told Cosmopolitan.com. The studio will have a full arsenal of scents, from more straightforward scents like "vanilla lace" and "mango temptation" to the more abstractly titled "such a flirt" and "secret escape." While the scent combos can't be bottled on-site, Victoria's Secret wants customers to buy multiple bottles and combine them at home.

Each studio will also have a starter guide to help newbies get started with tried and tested scent combinations. The studios will roll out to all stores tomorrow, October 6th.

Get ready...some MAJOR #VSFantasies specials are coming soon.
