The Chanel Shoes I'm Splurging on This Fall

Welcome back to Editor's Picks, a Friday series profiling the buys our editors are obsessed with. Previously, Racked's fashion editor-at-large Rajni Jacques shared how to style frayed denim; today she's back with an elegant take on her beaten-up blue jean uniform.

"First, I promise I don’t have crazy-expensive taste. But for some reason, I want very ladylike pieces this fall — pieces that are so not 'me,' but that I can make my own by what I wear them with.

These Chanel slingbacks caught my eye because they're timeless and would totally transform my uniform of tattered jeans and biker jackets. I was drawn to this Louboutin purse because of its dainty, boxy shape — I’m always carrying a large handbag or tote and I really want a pretty purse to rock for once. I love the pebbled leather and the shiny gold hardware.

I’m not usually so matchy-matchy when it comes to accessories, but I like how the light colors play off each other, especially in contrast to denim and leather. This is as ladylike as you will ever see me, and I'm digging it. Sometimes you need a bit of a change and this is my fall shake up."
