Agency Advised Model to Get 'Down to the Bone' Before She Could Book Gigs

Aspiring model Rosie Nelson had a chance to be signed by one of the UK's most prominent modeling agencies, she writes on her Change.org petition. The agency, which goes unnamed in Nelson's petition, wanted to sign the model, but asked her to lose weight. After losing a "stone," 14 pounds, and two inches around her waist over the course of four months, she went back into the agency only to be told to get "down to the bone."

Since receiving the atrocious advice, Nelson has launched a petition to create a law that would help protect models from these dangerous conditions. Nelson has experienced 10-hour shoots without any food on set and witnessed first-hand how groups of models working and traveling together can subliminally encourage unhealthy eating habits.

France joined countries like Israel and Spain when it set a BMI requirement for models earlier this year. And Nelson might get her wish soon with reports that the UK is considering similar legislation. Nelson is pictured below.
