French minimalists APC have invested in fashionable activewear brand Outdoor Voicesreports Vogue UK. Outdoor Voices has grown exponentially over this past year, garnering $1.1 million in investments earlier this year in order to open new stores and raising $7 million this month. As part of this investment, APC and Outdoor Voices will also release a collaboration next year.

Outdoor Voices is beloved by the fashion set, and was prominently stocked by J.Crew before pulling out to focus more on direct business. APC founder Jean Touitou is obviously also a fan. And despite the two brands' have completely different styles, Touitou believes they have a lot in common.

"I knew that I loved OV when I saw their fabric selection," Touitou tells Vogue UK. "They are so material focused that I immediately thought they were just like us. It's a good time to mix real sportswear with real fashion, so the opportunity to invest was too good to miss."

Outdoor Voices founder Tyler Haney shared what his brand admired about APC. "Jean Touitou and his team have built APC into an iconic brand-one that is meaningful and authentic," he says. "We're excited to work with them as strategic partners as we continue to grow Outdoor Voices." The collaboration doesn't come as a huge surprise since Haney told Racked earlier this year that APC is one of her favorite brands to wear.
