Valentino's Rockstud heels are a constant fashion blogger staple, but now Style.com has some solid figures about how the iconic shoe continues to boost Valentino's sales. According to an interview with Valentino creative directors Maria Grazia Chiuri and Pierpaolo Piccioli, the Rockstud shoe made an impact as soon as Valentino introduced the style in 2010. Valentino's sales have more than doubled since that year. In 2014, Valentino reported that revenues were up by 36%, and accessories represent half of all sales.

"When we started, we were obsessed—and are also obsessed now—to create a style," Chiuri told Style.com. "We never think to do something only for one season. We want to speak a language that speaks about style, and that becomes timeless. Our inspiration is to create something that you want to have with you for your life, forever. I think that if you are a designer, this is what you really want. Rockstud, camouflage—everything we’re doing is because we want to create a world, elements that you recognize as the Valentino style."
