H&M and Balmain have had absolutely no luck in keeping products from their collaboration from hitting the web early. Images of the products were leaked online early by a blogger and now Complex notes that resellers are already listing items from the collection on eBay with huge markups.
The hyped collection is sure to sell out immediately and eBay listers are promising customers the most desirable pieces in their size for a hefty price. The collection's most prized styles, like the ones that have been teased for months by Gigi Hadid and Kendall Jenner, are facing the biggest price increase. The mini dress worn by Hadid to the Harper Bazaar's Icons party is selling for $1,100 on eBay, up from the $649 retail price. The beaded blazer Kendall debuted at the Billboard Music Awards will sell in stores for $549 but resellers are already asking $1,300 for it. While most of these are listed as pre-sale, one T-shirt was bought at the runway show last week and is available now.
There's a whole range of dresses, T-shirts, accessories, and shoes to shop on eBay for those who really want to guarantee they get a certain item. However, even pre-sellers admit they might not get an item and note they will return your money if they are unsuccessful.
In other Balmain x H&M news, the retailer released a short video on Instagram featuring "The Kendalls." The clip shows several armies led by different versions of Kendall dressed in a range of products from the collab. Our money is on the fierce high-ponied and blazer-wearing Kendall.
There are also videos profiling different "members" of Kendall's armies.
