Donatella Versace Explains Why She's Starring in Givenchy Ads

Here's Donatella Versace in Givenchy's just-revealed FW15 ad, starring front and center in the competing brand's clothing. Yep, this was confusing the first time around, too. Thankfully, Versace took to her brand's Instagram account to share the ad with an accompanying explainer.

"I believe in breaking rules," the caption reads. "Riccardo Tisci is extremely talented and above all my dear friend. We are family. I want to get rid of the old system, work together, support each other and make fashion a truly global community."
