Apple might have another wearable in the works, according to a patent the company just submitted to U.S. Patent & Trademark Office. The patent is for an Apple Ring, which would introduce a wearable even more compact than the Apple Watch. The Apple Ring, much like the company's watch, would sync up with a larger device, like an iPhone.

The patent shows that there's a possibility for an Apple Watch both with and without a touch screen. Wearers would use the Apple Ring by wearing it on their index finger and using their thumb to operate the device. Considering the uphill battle Apple has faced while trying to make its Watch look like a stylish addition to your everyday wardrobe, we can't imagine a ring would be much easier.

As The Verge points out though, Apple frequently files patents and that's the first and last time you hear about the potential products.
