Kendall Jenner and Gigi Hadid Turn Homeless Skater Into Model

Kendall Jenner and Gigi Hadid are helping the make dreams come true for John Economou, a homeless skater and aspiring model. He met the air of stars serendipitously after they finished filming a commercial, The Daily Mail reports. Economou was living and sleeping on Venice Beach at the time when the duo connected the skater to modeling agency Two Management, which signed Economou on the spot.

Besides earning him temporary shelter, his good looks also caught Jenner and Hadid's eyes as they were having a picnic on the beach. "‘One of the girls said to me, 'You're cute,' so I turned around and we struck up conversation," he says.

"Kendall was cool, she was super down to earth and chill," he says. "We were just having a normal conversation talking about life, acting modeling, personal lives." Jenner also started her modeling career with Two Management.

Economou says he hasn't had any further contact with Hadid or Jenner, but has stayed in touch with the third picnic partner, actor Ansel Elgort. And while The Daily Mail reports that the trio had just come from a commercial, it sounds as if it's more likely a Vogue editorial featuring Jenner, Hadid, and Elgort playing with selfie sticks on-location at Venice Beach.

The 20-year-old moved from Milwaukee to California to pursue his dream of modeling, and to avoid sleeping outside, would pick up women. He is known as the "Romeo of Venice Beach," The Daily Mail writes. ‘I do like sleeping on the beach but I obviously like going home with chicks too," Economou tells The Daily Mail.

Despite Economou's newfound success, he says he is still homeless and sleeping on the beach. The Kardasian-Jenner effect should take hold soon to serve as a launching pad to Economou's dreams. "I want to be the top," he says. "I want to be top of the top with Kendall, with Justin Bieber with those kind of people. I'm confident in myself if I can get there."
