Allure is getting to bottom of why your Instagram feed always looks slightly askew. Apparently, the secret to a perfect selfie involves severely tilting your head or the camera lens. It's called the "beauty blogger tilt," and Allure talks to three beauty bloggers who've perfected the technique. "Take a photo of your face straight-on at no angle, and then take another one where you tilt your face to the side. Watch yourself go from frumpy to fleek instantly," Jackie Aina told the magazine.
Here's how to get the tilt right: hold the camera above your forehead, then tilt your face down and to the side. "Holding the camera high is super flattering on the face and all it takes is a little head tilt to show off that eye makeup," Irene Kahn said.
