Kate Middleton Debuted Her Most Somber Outfit of the Year

Yesterday was the annual Remembrance Day service, during which members of the royal family gathered in London to honor soldiers who have died in battle. It's also the one day of the year for which Kate Middleton ditches her usual pastels and bright jewel tones and debuts her most somber outfit of the year.

Though much like the last four years, Kate wore an all-black ensemble consisting of a wool coat and fascinator, this year's seemed to be even more stylish than usual. Consider the coat she wore in 2011, which the blog What Kate Wore points out is Diane Von Furstenberg:

Which happens to be the same coat she wore in 2012:

In 2013, she retired the DVF coat, but still went with a buttoned-up high collar, this time by Temperley London:

2014's look was slightly more Blues Brothers, with giant Alexander McQueen lapels and the same fedora-esque fascinator she wore in 2011:

This year, however, she wore an Alexander McQueen velvet patchwork coat, topped with a butterfly-shaped fascinator with netting:

That coat, by the way, is almost identical to one that's currently for sale on Lane Crawford. It's $3,740, but being coat twins with Kate Middleton is priceless, right?
