This Pore-Plugging Putty Is Getting Rave Reviews

Here's yet another product claiming to be the savior that your pores have been waiting for. It's known as pore putty, and according to reviewers, the stuff — unlike many other beauty products that promise to transform your face — actually works. Stylecaster reviewed two different pore putties, including ones from Peter Thomas Roth and Stila, and came away impressed with the cosmetic's coverage and versatility.

Apparently, the pore putty is aptly named because it works the same way actual putty repairs pipes or blemishes on a surface. "These putty products 'fill' open pores and smooth out the surface of the skin with technology similar to blurring products," Stylecaster writes. Peter Thomas Roth's version of the putty also boasts long-term effects for its users. "Within weeks, potent Disa-Pore 20 provides long-term clinical benefits to help reduce the look of pores (size and shape) to impart a smoother, more youthful appearance," the item's product page reads.

Another advantage of the putties, according to Stylecaster, is that it can be put on anytime during your makeup routine or simply in place of it. "The putty can be worn alone, as a primer, or dabbed onto skin over makeup as a finishing mattifier," the site writes. Adding, "We've found our best results by wearing these products alone on makeup-free days."

Stylecaster reports that pore putty leaves behind an even complexion while maintaining a lightweight feel. Daily Makeover, which reviewed pore putties earlier this year, has similarly glowing things to say about the product. "This stuff actually does what it says it's going to, and does a great job of it," the site writes.
