Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

Instead of just curating and saving the things you love for later on Pinterest, the platform is making it possible to shop a curated selection directly from the app. The new section, aptly named The Pinterest Shop, will feature "the best of Pinterest" hand-selected by the company's employees, according to a blog post on Pinterest's site. Different collection with products from retailers like Neiman Marcus, Bloomingdale's, and Nordstrom will be rotated daily.

Pinterest will divide the buyable pins — pints that can be purchased directly from the app — into different categories like "entertaining essentials" and "cold winter accessories." The categories will help users sift through the more than 60 million buyable pins that brands have created on the app since Pinterest announced the new feature earlier this summer. Along with the Pinterest Shop, the company also announced that buyable pins are now being rolled out to Android users — the feature has been available on iOS since late June of this year.

Pinterest also tells VentureBeat that buyable pins will be available on desktops soon. Companies have had success with the buyable pins, so it's no surprise Pinterest is ramping up their availability. "Merchants are experiencing improved mobile conversion rates, new customers, and incremental sales at no extra cost to the merchant," a Pinterest spokesperson told VentureBeat. Pinterest shared a preview of what the new shop will look like:
