Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen Want Fashion Intern Lawsuit Dismissed

Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen have responded to the lawsuit alleging that interns at their label The Row were overworked and received neither pay nor college credit. A group of roughly 40 interns filed the lawsuit against the Olsen twins last month and a spokesperson for the designers initially called the claims "groundless." Now, the Olsen twins have expanded on that according to recent court documents obtained by The Daily Mail.

The Olsens reject both of lead plaintiff Shahista Lalani's claims and ask that the lawsuit be thrown out. They claim no laws were broken and add that they did not act in a "reckless or malicious manner." The Olsens also want Lalani to pay back any legal fees they've incurred while defending themselves from the lawsuit.

The lawsuit accuses the Olsen twins's label of using unpaid interns to do the work of full-time employees. Now, those involved in the lawsuit are asking to be compensated for the hours they put in while working at The Row.
