The Emmy Awards are not particularly known for its show-stopping red carpet fashion. While there's an abundance of the anticipated fishtail gown, a few actresses did take risks. Heidi Klum walked the carpet in a semi-ruffled, mostly-sheer yellow gown by Atelier Versace. Teyonah Parris of Mad Men showed off her black-and-white polka-dotted gown, and Ellie Kempner of Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt went with multi-colored stripes. The Modern Family cast showed up strong in bold colors and Taraji P. Henson of Empire) managed to reinvent the wheel in a black, custom Alexander Wang gown.
