A thorough accounting of the Real Housewives' hair, skin, and makeup brands

The Real Housewives are many things — mothers, wives, business women, throwers of alcoholic beverages. They also frequently lend their names to all manner of product lines, from workout videos to those aforementioned alcoholic beverages.

Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

With the recent debut of Glow By Dina, a line of skincare products developed by Dina Manzo of the New Jersey franchise, we got to wondering how many other beauty brands have been launched by 'wives. So we rounded them all up, and we do mean all of them. For the sake of this exercise, we've limited the scope of our investigation to face, body, and hair product lines by Stateside Housewives only. Sorry Melbourne and Cheshire!

Cosmetics

Bye, Brittle!

Porsha Williams, Real Housewives of Atlanta (RHoA)

A play off her oft-quoted dismissal of fellow Housewife Kenya Moore, "Bye, Ashy!" Bye, Brittle! is a great name for this nail hardening product which, in true Housewife form, contains diamond dust. Williams also has a related product called Bye, Frizzy! that can be used to tame flyaway hairs as well as staticky clothes.

Cafface

Caroline Manzo, Real Housewives of New Jersey (RHoNJ)

Part beauty bar, part blowout bar, all Manzo. The Franklin Lakes salon is co-owned by mamma Caroline Manzo and bambina Lauren Manzo Scalia, who mans the shop while Caroline stays back at her empty nest making soaps and bath bombs that are sold in the store.

Chameleon by Lisa Wu

Lisa Wu, RHoA

In 2012, the OG Atlanta Housewife, who left the show after two seasons (but stuck around as a sometime guest in the third season), partnered with Lip Addyct to create a now-defunct line of lip colors called Chameleon. The timing of the union was strange, given that Wu was not seen on RHoA after 2011.

Gretchen Rossi. Image: Bravo/Getty

Gretchen Christine Beauté

Gretchen Rossi, Real Housewives of Orange County (RHOC)

The name of Gretchen Rossi's eponymous makeup line has been changed to the 'Gretchen Christine Collection' but it will always be known to devoted Real Housewives of Orange County fans as Gretchen Christine Beaut-ay.

Pop of Color

Kristen Taekman, Real Housewives of New York City (RHoNY)

The former Housewife, who will make sure you and everyone else knows she left the show and certainly was not fired, launched a line of nail varnishes and lip glosses called Pop of Color, sold exclusively at Ricky's — a fitting partnership for a Housewife in NYC. But when the most interesting thing about your company is its unfortunate Twitter handle, something ugly has occurred in the land of beauty.

Sweat Cosmetics

Meghan King Edmonds, RHOC

Sweat Cosmetics, developed for use by female athletes, brought on the newest Orange County housewife (and medical investigator) as a brand ambassador and Director of Sales in the summer of 2015. But in February of this year, all traces of MKE, as loyal OC fans know her, have been scrubbed from the site. Does this mean Meghan won't be back for Season 11?!?

Skincare

Kandi Burruss. Image: Bravo/Getty

Bedroom Kandi

Kandi Burruss, RHoA

Bedroom Kandi is primarily a brand devoted to, ahem, intimate toys and enhancements, the line features a small Bath & Body collection that includes a bath bar ("Inner Harmony"), feminine wash in white tea pear and mango passion scents, and the "Seduce Me" series of pheromone-infused products that includes sheet spray, body spray and lotion. As Phaedra Parks would say, "Get it, girl."

Body by Katie Rost

Katie Rost, Real Housewives of Potomac (RHoP)

Well lookie here, we've got an entry among the newest set of Housewives, the lovely, if etiquette-obsessed, ladies of Potomac. Back in 2007, leggy beauty Katie Rost created a line of body scrubs, creams and bath salts called Body by Katie Rost. It's defunct now, but perhaps a revival is in her future?

Cellogica

Joanna Krupa, Real Housewives of Miami (RHoM)

Stem cells are hot among the 'wives (Yolanda Hadid Foster resorted to injections of lamb stem cells in her quest to cure her Lyme disease) so it makes sense that at least one of them would include them in a product line. Cellogica promises to "dramatically reduce your wrinkles" and at these prices, it better — a 30-day supply of Cellogica will run you $129.95. Krupa's product line may be outrageously expensive, but at least it doesn't include a feminine wash.

Heather Dubrow. Image: Bravo/Getty

Consult Beaute

Heather Dubrow, RHOC

What's up with the OC 'wives and the French version of the word beauty? Heather Dubrow and her plastic surgeon husband, Terry, developed and hawk Consult Beaute, a line of lotions and potions for the face and body, together. Proving that Heather's nickname 'fancypants' is well earned, the line includes something called Caviar Cleanser.

Four Truffles

Taylor Armstrong, Real Housewives of Beverly Hills (RHoBH)

Pity the poor Widow Armstrong, who lost her husband, her turn on reality TV and her line of body butters and serums, Four Truffles, which is now defunct, despite a smattering of activity on the brand's Facebook page.

Glow by Dina

Dina Manzo, RHoNJ

The newest entry into the very crowded field of Housewife beauty lines is Glow by Dina, which boasts five products that are designed to help you look as perfect and beautiful as Miss Dina herself. They'll come in handy when it's time to skin her and wear her like last year's Versace.

Lea Black. Image: Bravo/Getty

Lea Black Beauty & Sudden Youth

Lea Black, RHoM

Impressive is the 'wife who has not one, but two skincare lines. So it goes with Miami's Lea Black, whose namesake line is offered alongside Sudden Youth, a brand she developed in the '80s and relaunched in 2011.

Nassif MD Bio-Rythmic Skincare

Paul Nassif, RHoBH

Terry Dubrow's partner on Botched, Paul Nassif, knows from Househusbandry himself. And just like Dubrow, he's got a line of skincare products on the market. In a recent episode of Beverly Hills, Nassif's ex-wife (and former Housewife), Adrienne Maloof mentioned that she's also working with Nassif to develop the products. Though the two have split, this isn't their first rodeo — back in 2012, the pair launched Adrienne Maloof by Drs. Paul Nassif & Ron Moy.

Skinnygirl Face and Body Solutions

Bethenny Frankel, RHoNY

The short lived skincare branch of Bethenny Frankel's monster Skinnygirl brand launched in 2012 … and seems to have died that same year. Though skinnygirlfaceandbody.com is kaput, a smattering of the products can still be purchased through Amazon.

Lisa Hochstein. Image: Bravo/Getty

Skinfinity

Lisa Hochstein, RHoM

In October 2013, Miami's Lisa Hochstein announced she would be launching a skincare line. Alas, it looks like the brand never actually got off the ground — the website still says "Skinfinity will be launching soon."

Tru Renewal

Ramona Singer, RHoNY

Perhaps to offset the effects of all that pinot grigio, Singer added Tru Renewal, a line of face green algae creams and serums, to her offerings.

Haircare

Agadir Haircare Products

Larsa Pippen, RHoM

In January 2016, Agadir Haircare Products, makers of argan oil hair treatments, named Larsa Pippen (wife of NBA great Scottie) their celebrity spokeswoman.

Vicki Gunvalson. Image: Bravo/Getty

Cilea Lash

Vicki Gunvalson, RHOC

The OG of the OC is best known as a wildly successful insurance saleswoman, but back in 2011, she tried her hand at launching an eyelash growth stimulator that was designed as a non-prescription alternative to Latisse. Unfortunately, her Midas touch failed her — the product is no longer on the market.

Completely Bare

Cindy Barshop, RHoNY

Waxing qualifies as hair care, right? Sure it does. The hair removal emporium, which offered fox fur merkins, spun off a line of at-home use products like shave gel and depilatory cream. Barshop now runs VSPOT, a laser treatment designed to "offer a solution for the vaginal loosening, dryness, and incontinence."

Go Naked

Porsha Williams, RHoA

The Queen of THOTlandia herself, Porsha Williams, developed her line of hair extensions, called Go Naked, so that her loyal subjects may have tresses as gorgeous as their Sovereign.

Cynthia Bailey. Image: Bravo/Getty

Hair Couture by Cynthia Bailey

Cynthia Bailey, RHoA

It's not totally clear what model and eyewear mogul Cynthia Bailey's relationship to Hair Couture is — a Facebook page calls the brand Hair Couture by Cynthia Bailey, but the website only makes vague mention of "Atlanta Housewives Favorite Hair" (this is probably news to Porsha Williams) without checking Bailey by name. In the words of Cynthia's BFF Nene Leakes, "So nasty and so rude."

Milania Haircare

Teresa Giudice, RHoNJ

Of the four Giudice girls, wild child Milania is clearly the star of the bunch — so it stands to reason that Teresa would name her line of haircare products for her third child. Unfortunately for Teresa, in light of her legal problems the line has since been renamed Youthful 8.

Moore Hair Care

Kenya Moore, RHoA

In the third episode of the current season of Real Housewives of Atlanta, Kenya Moore — former Miss USA, current advocate of twirl therapy — hosted a party to launch her line of hair growth and strength stimulating products, Moore Hair Care. The party was a disaster due to the lack of both air conditioning and actual hair care products (the bottles were filled with water) but it looks like Kenya has pulled it together and the products, which include conditioner and hair masks, are now available for purchase.

Miracle Serum Hair Treatment

Joyce Giraurd de Ohoven, RHoBH

One-and-done Housewife Joyce Giraurd de Ohoven was a short-lived presence, but her hair, at least, was unforgettable. The two-time Miss Puerto Rico had a head of hair that was to die for, so it makes total sense that she would spin her turn on the reality show into a career selling haircare products.

We're Waiting...

In the haircare space, there were two lines we were promised that have yet to materialize. In December 2010, RHoBH's Kyle Richards promised us a hair care line. In February 2013, RHoA's Kim Zolciak promised us a wig line. We shall continue to hold out hope — especially for Kim's wig line, mostly so we can make a "Hi, Wig!" joke.
