Kate Spade's taking the lessons it learned from shuttered line Kate Spade Saturday and trying again with a new casual line called Broome Street. The new line's spring collection just launched, and pieces are hitting Kate Spade's stores and website.

"We designed our new Broome Street label as a complement to our Kate Spade New York collection and Madison Avenue label; together, these pieces can be layered and mixed to reflect each customer’s personal style," Kate Spade president and chief creative officer Deborah Lloyd said in a press release. She continued:

The Broome Street label follows the same core values as Kate Spade New York: timeless, smart, confident, joyful, unique and fun. As Kate Spade New York continues its evolution into a lifestyle brand, incorporating some of the insights gained from Kate Spade Saturday, we look forward to offering our customer a range of options to meet the casual, every day and special occasion needs in her interesting life.Check out the gallery to see the Broome Street range, which includes totes, tees, denim, cotton dresses and skirts, chunky sweaters, and a khaki trench and a leather jacket. Just note, not every piece in the gallery is on the site yet; a few items are landing in March.

It may have Kate Spade Saturday's relaxed feel, but Broome Street's pricetags aren't as wallet-friendly as Saturday. Prices start at $65 and top out at $898 for that slick moto jacket.
