You probably hate unpredictable spring showers as much as the next suede-loving person, but the recent crop of chic raincoats we've been seeing on runways and across the web may make you reconsider.
Take the patent leather trench coat trend that made waves for fall 2015, for example. Lacoste created slick hooded versions with minimal details, while Burberry showcased black ones complete with red stitching. Even Vetements hopped onboard with its structured black parka for spring 2016 (worn over an oversized Vetements hoodie, of course).
Raincoats have come a long way from the yellow vinyl ones we wore as kids. Try a copper-colored jacket by Trademark (slide 2) that is pretty enough to wear inside, or a see-though anorak by Hunter (slide 3) if you want to highlight the cute look you're wearing underneath. And for the nostalgia nerds out there, perhaps a traditional yellow raincoat from Topshop (slide 6) so that you can truly embody the one true Parisian style icon — Madeline.
