The axe is swinging over at Yahoo, where the company's once-lauded digital magazines are, for the most part, biting the dust today. Yahoo Food, Yahoo Health, Yahoo Parenting, Yahoo Makers, Yahoo Travel, Yahoo Autos, and Yahoo Real Estate are all completely shutting down, while the company's style and beauty categories are consolidating under a "lifestyle content" umbrella.

In the reorganization, Yahoo Beauty editor-in-chief Bobbi Brown is getting cut, as well as some Yahoo Beauty editors, although a spokesperson for the company wouldn't confirm exactly how many were leaving. The spokesperson didn't comment on whether some Yahoo Style staffers are also getting laid off in the shuffle. As of now, Yahoo Style's editor-in-chief Joe Zee is still with the company.

"In early February Yahoo shared a plan for the future, with this new plan came some very difficult decisions and changes to our business," a Yahoo spokesperson said in a statement. "As a result of these changes some jobs have been eliminated and those employees will be notified today. We thank those employees for their outstanding service to Yahoo and will treat these employees with the respect and fairness they deserve."
