The CFDA Fashion Awards is going to be televised live this year, for the first time ever in its history. Time to show all those other awards shows how a red carpet is done, CFDA Awards attendees!

The Weinstein Company is partnering with the CFDA for the broadcast and will produce and distribute the rights to air the show. The CFDA will soon announce what national outlet is going to air the awards, so stay tuned.

"The CFDA Board of Directors agreed that it was time to further elevate the CFDA Fashion Awards and bring them to the wider audience on television," CFDA president and CEO Steven Kolb said in a press release. "By partnering with The Weinstein Company, we can make this a reality while also furthering the CFDA mission to strengthen the impact of American Fashion worldwide."

Check out the list of nominees here, including designers like Donna Karan, Alessandro Michele, Marc Jacobs, and Ashley and Mary-Kate Olsen. The CFDA Fashion Awards will be broadcast live on June 6th from NYC's Hammerstein Ballroom.

Update: The CFDA announced that the live television broadcast of CFDA Fashion Awards won't happen this year after all.
