Kate Middleton Went to Scotland, Where She Has a Totally Different Title

Kate Middleton is perhaps best known as Princess Kate, despite the fact that her official title is the Duchess of Cambridge. But during her current trip to Scotland, she has a totally different-sounding name, one similar to that of a certain Real Housewives of New York castmember: Countess of Strathearn.

Upon marrying Prince William, Queen Elizabeth gave Kate not just one, but three titles. In England, she's the Duchess of Cambridge, in Scotland, she's the Countess of Strathearn, and in Ireland, she's — wait for it — Lady Carrickfergus, which, side note, would truly make a magnificent name for a cat.

As part of her duties as a royal patron of the children's organization Place2Be, Kate Middleton traveled to Edinburgh, where she met with Scottish schoolchildren. Watch her erupt into a royal giggle in the singalong below.
