Who to Thank for Beyoncé's Nine "Formation" Video Looks

Today, Beyoncé dropped a not-so-gentle reminder as to why she is reigning goddess supreme. "Formation," the song and video, landed a day before her Super Bowl halftime show appearance. The expert timing on her camp's part is easily overshadowed by how freaking amazing the video is. "Striking" is a good word for it. "Moving" is another one. "Gorgeous" is still another. You get it.

Part of the video's aesthetic greatness (in addition to its powerful message) can be attributed to its subject's impeccable styling. Beyoncé employed a cadre of stylist — among them Shiona Turini, Zerina Akers, Ade Samuel, and Marni Senofonte — to dress her. Together, the team produced a cohesive range of nine costume changes with help from Gucci, Zimmermann, Fendi, Chanel, and more. Take a look at each of the looks below and try to contain your awe.

1. The All-American Queen

Look, this Gucci Spring 2016 is for sale, but not on sale, unfortunately.

2. The Virgin Victorian High-Class Courtesan

Zimmermann has taken credit for the white hight-neck collar (Beyoncé's sister Solange is a fan of the brand and attended the Spring 2016 show, where they first showed this look).

3. The Not Virgin Victorian High-Class Courtesan

The bodysuit is custom by Marni Senofonte. The necklace is Chanel. The milkmade braids are epic.

4. The Fur 'n a Hatchback

Fendi fur, baby.

5. The Gucci Suits on Gucci Suits

'Twere custom made.

6. The Beyoncé O'Hara

The dress appears to be Alessandra Rich, though the brand has not confirmed by the time of publish.

7. The Bey From the Block

Unclear who made this look, but the shoes are Amélie Pichard and can be found here.

8. The Mardi Gras Princess

The look is Gucci Spring 2016. The tiara is unclaimed.

9. The Woman of the House

The dress is by French couture house On Aura Tout Vu, and Dylanlex is responsible for that jaw dropping necklace, bless them.
