A First Look at Uniqlo x Liberty London

There's seemingly a Uniqlo collaboration that could be selling out at any given moment. Just recently, the retailer has teamed up with a handful of designers and fashion icons like Lemaire, Carine Roitfeld, Ines de la Fressange, and Hana Tajima. Now, add British brand Liberty London to that list.

Vogue UK has a first look at the capsule collection that was announced back in December of last year. Based on Liberty's penchant for patterns, we assumed the collaboration would be much more vibrant than Uniqlo's typical basic offerings and the initial styles certainly live up to that vision.

The 30-piece collection is a heavily floral affair that leverages Liberty's existing patterns across womenswear, menswear and kid's clothing.

"We have selected highly popular, vibrant floral patterns from among the Liberty prints, adored throughout the world by people across generations and cultures, and brought them together with Uniqlo's cutting-edge sensibilities to be reborn as LifeWear," Yukihiro Katsuta, head of research and design at Uniqlo, tells Vogue UK.

The first images show colorful floral prints on dresses, tanks, T-shirts, trousers, and in the lining of puffer jackets. The campaign shows models mixing prints and modeling in front of equally-flowery backgrounds. It was shot by Nick Knight.

The collection will release at Uniqlo on March 18th.
