While the runways often fixate solely on the clothes (and the models, for that matter), the shoes that compliment those clothes play a major role as well. And, as evidenced by our street style galleries, they're a pretty big deal.

The fall 2016 shows at Milan Fashion Week are giving us serious shoe envy this season with embellished T-straps at Gucci and lace-up peep-toe wedges at Prada. Dainty pumps and flats in pretty pastels were also popular at brands like Versace, Armani, and Blumarine, while Prada and Antonio Maras went for a more punk vibe with clunky moon boots and silver brogues, respectively.
