Jennifer Lawrence's red carpet style might just be one column-esque Dior dress after another, but outside of her contact with the brand, she's free to wear whatever she pleases. Last night, that meant high-waisted, velvet flared trousers, paired with a top that kind of looks like medieval chainmail.

With the Oscars just two days away, last night the Best Actress nominee attended a Dinner for Equality co-hosted by Patricia Arquette, where she delivered a speech to attendees like Stevie Wonder, Reese Witherspoon, and Lily Tomlin.

But back to this look, which reportedly is Naeem Khan, while the shoes are Sophia Webster: It takes a certain kind of woman to wear a mostly sheer, albeit extremely shiny top and pair them with pants like these — a two-time Oscar winner, perhaps?
