Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

If you've missed reading Linda Wells's editor's letter in Allure, we have good news. Wells is joining New York Magazine's The Cut as beauty editor-at-large, WWD reports.

Wells is going to write once a week for The Cut, and her first piece will be online within the next couple days. "I’m eager for the adrenaline rush of writing and commenting quickly on beauty, fashion, fitness, diet, wellness and whatever else pops in my head," she told WWD.

This is reportedly one of a mix of projects Wells has in the works. The Cut's been a home lately for former print writers and editors to transition to the internet with at-large positions. Wells will join fashion critic Cathy Horyn, a fellow high-profile hire at The Cut who was scooped up last year.

It's a quick return to journalism for Wells. Allure replaced her with Michelle Lee from Nylon in November, and Lee has gone on to lay off Allure staffers and bring in her own team.
