One of the biggest magazine features of 2015 is about to become a book. The New York Times reports that Caitlyn Jenner is set to publish a memoir about her transformation with the help of her Vanity Fair profiler, Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist Buzz Bissinger.

When it debuts, tentatively scheduled for spring 2017, the book will expand on the themes discussed in Vanity Fair's July cover story, from Jenner's struggle with gender dysphoria to her childhood, her experience as a gold medalist in the Olympics, her marriages, and "troubled" relationship to her children.

"Things have been moving so quickly that it will be nice to slow things down a bit and take the proper time to reflect on this journey," Jenner said in a statement released by Grand Central Publishing. The publishing house is speculated to have paid a "high seven-figure or low eight-figure sum" for the book.

The Times also notes that Bissinger is a fitting choice as a collaborator not only because he spent hundreds of hours over three months with her in preparation for the piece, but also because he has described himself as a "cross-dresser with a big-time fetish for women's leather," which he said helped create a bond between the two. He'll be tasked with conducting more interviews not only with Jenner herself, but also dozens of other people.

"I made it clear to her before I agreed that everything has to be on the table, nothing can be left out," Bissinger said. "It's her book, but it's going to be reported out to keep her honest. She's incredibly open, and I think it has the potential to be a really important book."
