Damn Daniel Turned Down a Modeling Contract

The inevitable has happened. We've seen this all too many times. Teen star blows up on social media, teen star jumps through the Ellen Degeneres Show hoop, brands try to co-opt this success, and then some genius thinks they can turn this 15 minutes of fame into a lifetime of success.

Damn Daniel was offered a modeling contract, Hollywood Life reports. Damn Daniel, probably wisely, turned this offer down. "Daniel was offered a modeling job this week but he turned down the contract because he wants a swimming scholarship and he can't have both." a classmate of Daniel tells Hollywood Life. "Daniel is pretty modest about everything that has happened since the video went viral."

The classmate adds that Daniel doesn't want anything to get in the way of going to college for swimming, because SoCal kids gonna SoCal.

Plus, Daniel already has a pretty plum gig where he just shows up to school and some guy does a weird voice while complimenting his style. And he's already experienced the vicious side of fame: see the night the SWAT team descended on his house after someone claimed he had shot his mom.

But we must admit we're at least a little bummed he won't be in a campaign for Vans at least.
