Unless you've been living under a rock these past few months, you've probably noticed that there's something slightly off about the jeans everyone's been wearing lately; more specifically, the hems on said jeans. This new denim silhouette — jagged edges with an askew trim — was popularized by Vetements' Demna Gvasalia for spring 2015. But they didn't catch on until earlier this year when everyone from street style stars to Selena Gomez started sporting them at fashion week and in paparazzi photos.
The Vetements versions will cost you around $1,300, but it's probably due to how they're made. Each pair are manufactured from deconstructed Levi's 501s and are then sewn back together with a contrast stitch. They play perfectly into the "beautifully un-done" trend the label has been popularizing along with the brand Off-White.
